Call For Papers

You are invited to submit an abstract and / or poster proposal to one of the conference tracks listed below:

  • Architectural history and historic preservation
  • Green building technologies and materials
  • User-friendly public spaces
  • Architecture & urban design education
  • Construction management
  • Information technology in architecture & urban design

Abstracts are limited to a maximum of 250 words. The conference language is English. Please use the Abstract and Poster Template provided here. Abstracts must be submitted for review by January 22, 2012. Abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee and accepted papers will be included in the Conference Proceedings. Each participant can submit a maximum of 2 papers. 

Conference delegates wishing to present a poster can send a written description of the poster content using the Abstract Template or a draft of the poster graphic content. Posters titles and authors will be listed in the Conference Abstract Book and Conference Proceedings and submitted posters will be made available on the conference website.

Papers will be presented in parallel sessions and workshops, with invited presentations in plenary sessions. In addition, poster sessions will be scheduled to facilitate interactive discussions and networking among delegates.

Delegates are free to decide how much to submit or publish. Authors may publish only an abstract in the Abstract book or a full-length manuscript in the Proceedings CD, which will be made available online. Delegates may also attend a conference without submitting or publishing any research. Authors may present their work during the conference either as (i) a 15-minute oral presentation, or as (ii) a poster session.

NEW! A number of selected papers will be considered for inclusion in a special issue of the Journal of Architecture and Planning Research, a major international interdisciplinary resource for professionals and scholars in architecture, design, and planning.
