Prof. Assoc. Armand Vokshi is a lecturer and Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism, at the Polytechnic University of Tirana and a professional in architecture and urban planning in Albania. He is graduated in Architecture in Florence and is the Head of the Avatelier studio. He is author of various publications in the field of architectural exhibitions as well as professional and academic conferences. Since 2016, he is the president of AAA (Albanian Association of Architects). In 2018 he received the title of “Ordine della Stella d’Italia” in the rank of Knight, from the Italian president.
In 2019 winner of one of the awards at the Iconic Award in Munich for “Between Olive Trees” Villa and nominated for Eumiesaward 2019.
Claudio Gambardella, architect and designer, is Full Professor of Industrial Design at the Department of Architecture and Industrial Design (DADI) of the Campania University "Luigi Vanvitelli". He is delegate of the Director for the Internationalization Policies of the Department. He is currently working on two main research branches: the first one concerns a new concept of company museums, that he has been studying for years, to create a distinctive identity that differentiates them from other types of museums. The second research branch he is focusing on is about the preservation and enhancement of those forms of design that are capable of connecting with local craftsmanship, thus developing what Gambardella calls “Handmade in Italy”, i.e. a kind of design that is strongly linked to local diversity over the country, competing with the more globalized “Made in Italy”. Moreover, he is one of the members of MUSA Scientific Committee (University's Museum of Sciences and Arts) of SUN. He curated the Materials Library project for SUN, first ever in Southern Italy, in collaboration with Material Connexion Italia. He was also curator of the 2013 and 2016 editions of the DADI/SUN booth at SALONE SATELLITE, a section of the SALONE DEL MOBILE dedicated to young talents and universities, both Italian and foreign, in Rho-Fiera, Milan.
Franco La Cecla anthropologist, architect, writer, moviemaker. He has been teaching Cultural Anthropology at the University of Venice ( Architecture IUAV), Milan (san Raffaele), Paris (EHESS, Ecole des Hautes Etudes), Barcelona (UPC), Berkeley (Env. Design), Lausanne, Lugano (Siupsi). He has been consultant of Renzo Piano (RPBW) and of Barcelona Regional Town Council. His focus is urban daily life and the material world that compose it. He has directed and interpreted two plays “Lasciami, ignoranza dei congedi”- Leave me, about the ignorance of leaving each other ( Mantova Literature Festival) and “Il nonno del sarto indiano” – The Indian taylor grandfather- ( Turin, Castello di Rivoli 2014). He has been curator of the exibit “Praying, a human practice”, (Turin, Venaria Reale, 2015)
Ahmed Y. G. Rashed, Ph.D. Professor of Architecture, Consulting Engineer, Civilization-Rights Activist, and Entrepreneur, and Innovator with over 37 years of substantial academic and professional experiences in architecture engineering, urban planning, heritage conservation, community resilience, sustainability, and civilization studies. A solid leadership portfolio as the Founding President of Civilizology-Egypt, as Founding Director of Farouk El-Baz Center for Sustainability and Future Studies at the British University in Egypt (BUE, Egypt); and formerly as Chair of the Architecture Engineering Departments at BUE (2012-2013) and Mansoura Universities (2004-2008), Egypt. Ph.D. in Architecture, University of York (UK - 1995). Active research agenda and ongoing projects focused on sustainability, green development, and resilience. Founded and innovated several international initiatives, community projects, and research themes, including Work and Hope Olympics of Suez Canal, Luxor Tales and Heritage Conservation, Sustainable Mega Cities, Sustainability of Immediate and Future Cities, Green Heritage, Taking Leave, and Civilization Rights to Build Civilization. Author of over 60 articles and manuscripts in international scholarly journals, conferences, and professional magazines. Taught and developed curriculum for academic institutions in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait. Supervised over 55 and examined over 80 graduate students at both the masters and doctoral levels. Received several awards and recognitions from different professional and academic organizations in several countries.
Carina Dantas is CEO of SHINE 2Europe with over 20 years-experience in health and social care. She is the Chair of the COST Action NET4Age-Friendly, Coordinator of the Stakeholders Network on SHAFE - Smart Healthy Age-friendly Environments and the Portuguese Network on SHAFE and Vice-President of the European Covenant on Demographic Change. She is evaluator/reviewer for the European Commission, Eureka, AAL and EIT Digital; member of the Expert Team developing the EU Ethics framework for the ICT Profession, as external expert for CEN/CENELEC - UNINFO; and Team Leader of the group of experts designing the Reference Guidelines in the Field of Ethics, Data Privacy and Security, contracted by the AAL Programme. Also, Senior International Project Manager for the ECHAlliance, management team member of The Digital Health Society, member of the Standing Committee on Policy and Advocacy of the International Health Literacy Association, the Advisory Board of the H2020 projects ReHyb, VisuAAL, PROCare4Life, Tactile, Homes4life and reviewer of ICF Journal, Geriatrics and MDPI. She has written over 200 proposals for funded projects and implemented/managed several of them, for different funding programmes.
